On a Roll - A book review
Jelly Rolls are one of the most popular precuts available. Moda created this product years ago and offers a Jelly Roll in the standard of 40 fabrics of one collection, cut in strips of 2 1/2” x WOF.
Fifteen Moda designers contributed to Martingale’s newest MODA ALL STARS compilation book ON A ROLL. These Moda All Star books contribute with their royalties to all kind of charity subjects. This one is for the School On Wheels organization .
The book contains 14 quilts using the 2 1/2” strips plus a bit of extra fabric.
I am honored to be one of the people with a quilt in the book, and mine is sewn with just solids (you could use my Jelly Roll from the SPOTTED group, which was not on the market by the time when I designed that quilt. Maybe I got the need for a Moda Jelly Roll with assorted bright nearly solids from that quilt, haha). The other group, which I used with a Jelly Roll, was my MODERN BACKGROUND COLORBOX collection.
There are so many beautiful ideas and collections from other Moda Designers and I will pick a handful with this gallery to give you a taste:

As always, royalties from the Moda All-Stars are donated to a charitable organization, most of which benefit children. The mission of School On Wheels is to enhance educational opportunities for homeless children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
The organization works one-on-one with children whose homelessness prevents them from getting the academic stability and help they desperately need. The heart of School on Wheels’ programs is the volunteer tutors who come from all backgrounds and professions, with a shared goal – to reach out to a child, to teach, to mentor, and assist in their educational life.
