A Sneak Peek at My New Fall Collection... Introducing Breeze
A warm, sunny day on the beach, a light breeze, the beautiful blue tones of the sea and azure skies… A day spent on the coast offers so much to be inspired by.
Bring in a cool, rebel-inspired style you see popping up all over Instagram and Pinterest, Sashiko Denim — with its unique design of distressed jeans mended together with other fabrics like little snippets of denim or cotton and rough stitching that boldly stands out… like these examples from Pinterest.
What do you have? A perfect combination of gorgeous hues and intriguing designs that make up Zen Chic’s newest fresh, youthful fabric collection Breeze. The pillow sample below was sewn by Oggi Charisis.
The colors, distressed style, and stitching of sashiko denim all inspired the surface patterns of Breeze. You’ll find a sashiko stitch in one of the fabric patterns, and the small crosses and fine line stripes in a couple of the designs also reflect the sashiko style.

This youthful, airy collection is made up of a wide spectrum of mostly blues and whites with a broad range in variation from a depth-bringing dark navy blue to a more cool muted denim. It also includes turquoise, pale blues and crisp white accents. To round out the collection we have accent colors in mustard and a fresh, pale pink (This mini quilt below was sewn by Ulrike Brauns).
