SUMMERTIME
This quilt pattern is inspired by the graphic design of modern posters, but it's easy enough for a confident beginner. It's made from triangles in various sizes and colors, so you can choose your own palette or follow the instructions to sew it up in FRISKY fabric!
The result is a stunning quilt that looks like a graphic poster—perfect for hanging on your wall or cuddling up under on a cool day.
DOT BY DOT
This is a lap-size quilt with a minimalist and modern feel. It's made using only one dotted print from the line in all its color variations, so it's an easy way to get started with mixing prints. The block is a classic dunkard's path, but don't be afraid of sewing curves—we have a YouTube tutorial on this! It is easy to sew, something for the confident beginner.
HEXAGON LOVE
Hexagon Love is one of our bestsellers this season. It uses a Layer Cake, so you get a wide variety of all prints on a budget, and it's also perfect for beginners.
Cut the hexagons from the Layer Cake and then add some playful variation by inserting strips from your background fabric into some of the hexagons . The hexagons are pieced together with your sewing machine, so there's no English Paper Piecing Technique involved—it's super-easy!
PLUSES
and last but not least: the star of our new patterns: PLUSES!
Pluses is a modern-looking, simple quilt that makes use of a Layer Cake to give you the complete variety of prints with low costs. By using the large and small Plus signs standing out from a solid background you'll be able to create an effect that looks like they are floating over a calm sea. To make this effect, you will be leaving the traditional quilt layout based on a grid and learning a new technique in our QAL.
Not only will this pattern teach you how to sew with Layer Cakes, but it will also be your gateway into our community of likeminded people who love sewing together as much as we do! We will start our Pluses QAL soon, to be exact on the 10th of August. It's going to be great!
So if you haven't already signed up for our QAL (which is free!), you can do that right now. We'd love to have you in our sewing community
