Planning Quilts With The Recolor App
Do you know this scenario: You've found a wonderful quilt pattern, and you'd like to sew it, but the fabrics on the pattern cover don't suit you at all. You want to sew exactly this pattern with different fabrics, but somehow you can't imagine the end result or even how to plan this quilt.
You give it a start anyway, spend your budget on a nice purchase, only to find the sewn result different than expected, if not even disappointing. Now all the money and the effort sits useless in your cupboard and gives you bad feeling each time you look at the quilt.
Wouldn't it be great if there was a solution, something like a tool to test and imagine your idea first?
Good news:
Use the Free Recolor App
for solids and blenders like the SPOTTED collection or for small-scale patterns. This free tool lets you easily design a layout, gives you filters to play with variations, allows you to save your ideas, so you can print them out and take them with you to the fabric store.
Let me show you exactly how it's done...
I uses this app to play around and try out a couple of different color variations for our upcoming PLUSES QAL. Did you already sign up? If not, you can do it right here. We are still waiting for the fabrics and right now my info says, they will arrive by the beginning of August, so that would mean we can start sewing at the end of August, when everyone got their ordered fabrics. Fingers crossed!
