If you enjoy quilting but would like to turn it into a social event, rather than a hobby that is carried out by yourself within the walls of your house; this is the event you've been waiting for.
Have you ever joined a quilt along? So, what is a Quilt Along? It's just a group of people (usually located online), who get together to sew the same quilt. The great thing is that you can follow along and ask questions and get tips from more experienced quilters. This can really help you push forward if this is your first time sewing a quilt.
That is why Zen Chic is putting together a Quilt Along. How exciting is that?!

Today we will start with the first part of our quilt along. During the next 6 weeks, we will release a new video tutorial every Wednesday which will give you some insights into how this quilt is made. In addition, there are also some extra tips and tricks that we want to show you during this time so that you can get through all steps of this amazing project easily and quickly!

The Pluses Quilt is an 82" x 82" quilt showing floating Plus signs playfully over the solid background. I designed this quilt to celebrate my new collection FRISKY, a fresh group with a Summer vibe. The skills you will learn during our Quilt Along are to leave a regular traditional block grid and learn how to scatter blocks more freely on a surface.
When you sign up for our QAL, you will automatically get a welcome email which includes some bonus materials

The variations to pick fabrics are endless, so feel free to use whatever fabric combinations make sense for you. I'll show some examples of how I made my quilts in different colors and fabrics below.

Before we get started, let's talk about fabrics. Choosing fabric is one of my favorite parts of quiltmaking. You can choose something that reflects you or your interests and will make your quilt feel more special to you. And we're going to share our fabric selections with each other on Instagram and on Facebook during the first week of our Zen Chic Moda Pluses Quilt Along!
