Our Fragment QAL: A Fabulous Finale – and What’s Coming Next

Wow, what an incredible seven weeks we’ve had! Our Fragment Quilt Along has officially wrapped up, and we couldn’t be more excited about your passion, creativity, and determination. With an average of 1,500 fans following our QAL videos and several hundred actively sewing along, you’ve once again proven what a strong, vibrant quilting community we have. Thank you for your amazing participation, comments, shares—and of course for all that stitching!

Celebrating Our Wonderful Participants

Whether you’re a seasoned quilter or tried something like this for the very first time, each and every one of you created something truly special. We love that some of you only just joined or might be finishing your tops later—there’s no such thing as “too late” to start a new project and learn along the way!

Our social media feeds were bursting with your colorful progress shots and weekly updates on Instagram and Facebook. Because so many gorgeous photos rolled in, we had no choice but to select the winner at random. (We do make sure to pay equal attention to both platforms, so everyone has a fair shot!) To us, anyone who’s showing off their Fragment Quilt in any form is already a star.

And the Winner Is… Laura Pool!

This time around, our main prize—a $100 gift card sponsored by Fat Quarter Shop—goes to Laura Pool. Congratulations, Laura! She created her top with a variety of bold stripes from Tula Pink and Paintbrush Studios’ “Line Up.” Each block is a bit different, and the navy background makes those colors really pop. A perfect combo that brought a big smile to all our faces!

Of course, we think you’re all winners—every top is amazing, and we wish we could pick each of you! But we had to narrow it down somehow, and a random pick was the fairest way.

What’s Next?

Quilting fun is far from over! We have another stunning project lined up for you this year: the Fusion Quilt. To dive even deeper into the technical details, we’ve decided to offer it as an online course rather than as a traditional QAL. We’re aiming for a summer release, so go ahead and pencil it in on your calendar! We’ll keep you posted on our channels and via newsletter as soon as registration opens.

Meanwhile, feel free to keep sharing your Fragment Quilts, experiment with new color variations, and browse our gallery for your next spark of creativity.
