Hip quilt pattern with letters - not Only for teens! Plus: Blockheads 2018 - Block 34
Hugs and kisses from a quilt - Text messages you can wrap around you
Who says quilting is an old-fashioned hobby, when you can make such a cool blanket with trendy letters? Your granddaughter will love it and I guess she will be proud to have such a cool blanket.
Especially young love birds will be into this quilt. Not only into the bold statement appliquéd with letters, but also in all the little heartfelt sayings quilted onto the background.
The quilting is inspired by a notepad with all the lines and the handwritten notes saying “I love you to the moon and back" " You are my home" "Let's cuddle" - you will find more to embellish your quilt.
The XOXO letters are raw edge machine appliqué - so this is a quilt you can make in one weekend.
There is a saying: "Who sleeps under a quilt, sleeps under a blanket of love" - which quilt could that proof better than XOXO?
XOXO is available now in my online shop. You can purchase yours here.
Stay tuned for more new patterns - I will show you some from my DAY IN PARIS series too.

BLOCK 34
BASKET AND VINE
Last week we worked on Block 33 of our mutual Moda Blockheads 2018 (Round 2) sew along. This week we continue with block 34, Basket and Vine, hosted by Jan Patek.
Jan loves appliqué and has a style which uses simplified shapes. Although she is a traditional quilter, which she also expresses with her fabric lines, these shapes can look quite contemporary depending on which fabrics you use. I like the Grunge flower bouquet and the figurative block adds a bit of interest in between all the pieced ones.
