A Sneak Peek at Two New Fall Collections... Introducing Rayon and Mochi Linen
Two new fabric substrates with the Zen Chic design for Moda: Mochi Linen Breeze and Breeze Rayons

First, meet Rayon!
This fabric is so very soft and has a beautiful drape to it. It’s perfect material for dresses, shirts, blouses, skirts and children’s clothes. Just imagine a sweet little girl’s dress in that soft, flowing material! And it pairs so well with denims, like in this pictures with Moda’s Chambray.
The soft fabric of Rayon by Zen Chic is perfect for creating clothes with a flattering drape and beautiful feel. Combine it with denim (Moda Chambray) for that special something. (Free pattern SORBETTO from Colette)
The inspiration behind this fabric is kind of a funny story…
I typically dress myself in one of my fabrics at trade shows, but I like to have a more flattering drape of material so I had one printed for myself–Rayon. At the trade shows visitors would stop by and ask, “Wow! That’s such beautiful fabric, have you started producing rayons in your collections?”. I’d always have to say no and that I’d created it myself, but visitors would ask if my rayon could be available for purchase. Well, I suggested the idea to my manufacturer, Moda, they started to produce it, and the rest is, as they say, history!
There are currently four different colors of one print in this new beautiful fabric line. The print we chose to begin with is from the Day in Paris collection. We’ve begun with two colors from that collection and added two more from the Breeze fabric line to bring it all together into a stunning and adventurous new material.
And meet Mochi Linen…
The neutral tones and exciting heavy textures of Mochi Linen by Zen Chic make it a perfect choice for home decor and accessory projects like handbags and this pencil case.

Mochi Linen brings the soothing, neutral linen color of sand into play by combining it with crisp white on one fabric, blue on another and mustard on a third. This thicker, stiffer textured fabric is designed to be a perfect fit for a myriad of home décor projects like aprons, drawstring bags, pillows, upholstery and whatever else your imagination can come up with.
This collection of three fabrics that brings a fabulous texture and depth for you to run wild with your home décor inspirations. It comes from an adventure in creative curiosity... My manufacturer, Moda’s, design studio discovered that the fine line stripes of one of my patterns created a stunning, visually appealing look when printed on a rougher fabric like linen. The result? A wonderful new fabric with endless possibilities.
