A Handy Cell Phone Bag | Dance in Paris by Zen Chic
A perfect travel companion and so much more
A while back, I traveled by train. I had a lot of baggage with me and my hands were quite full. Being by myself, I had better have an eye on all my belongings on the busy platform. Now usually that isn’t so much a problem, but this time my train was delayed. I needed to check on this handy app on my cell phone for the latest updates on the whereabouts of my train.
Have you been in a situation like this? Where you wanted to have your cell phone close by? Maybe you also needed to check your messages or app for updates, just like me. Sure you could have your phone in your handbag or the pocket of your coat. Having it in your hand was not an option because of all the other things you had to take care of. Imagine it dropping on the floor. You don’t want that to happen, god forbid!
The perfect solution
You know where I kept my cell phone? In this crossbody cell phone bag. These days crossbody cell phone bags are quite fashionable and you see them pop up more often. Not surprising because they are very handy. Besides you have your phone in a secure case over your shoulder close to your body.
Why a crossbody cell phone bag is so practical
So I thought you could use a crossbody bag for your mobile phone like I have as well. It has a long strap so you can easily wear it from one shoulder to your opposite hip. It definitely makes for a handy accessory. You can just open the little bag, slide your phone up, check your messages and let it slide back in again.
The little zipper pocket is great for your earbuds, your credit card, or some cash. You know... for that little snack you wanna buy while waiting for your train to arrive.
Make your own with Dance in Paris fabrics
To make your own crossbody bag like this, you can find the pattern at CreaResa. The instructions in this pattern are in German, but you can find similar patterns in English on Pinterest.
My bag was made by my friend Ulrike Brauns. She used some fabrics from the new collection Dance in Paris. I love how it turned out, don’t you?
I’d suggest you make one for yourself. Having your hands free and your cell phone close by can be great in all kinds of situations. Once you made your own, show us on Instagram. Use the hashtag #zenchic or tag me @zenchicmoda so I’ll find your post.
