Mochi Linen and a Fun, Free Pattern… But First a New Year’s Message from Me
2019 has come to a close, and what a wonderful year it was. With each of the new fabric collections I released last year, I’ve felt so much gratitude for the incredible support I’ve received. Between this fabulous community of my blog readers, the team I’m so fortunate to work with at Moda and the amazing individuals I’ve met through this adventure in sewing and design I couldn’t be more thankful for the belief and encouragement I’ve received.
It is in that spirit of gratitude that I wish all of you the most blessed and beautiful year ahead in 2020. May this year bring you peace, joy and abundant inspiration!
Now let’s have some fun with this wonderful free pattern and fantastic fanny pack project…
MOCHI LINEN is such a great pick for so many different types of projects – its versatility and texture are a part of its unique charm! Making lovely use of the soothing, neutral hue of sand, Mochi Linen combines this linen hue with crisp white in this project. You will also find it goes beautifully with blue and mustard in the other fabrics in this collection.
And for a project like this fun and useful fanny pack, Mochi LInen’s thicker, stiffer texture is perfect!
Ready to make your own fanny pack? Here are the details…
For this project I found the free pattern and ribbon from German sources. You can find the pattern here, and a Google English translation of it here.
I used the white-on-linen Fine Line print from the Mochi Linen BREEZE collection, and the cool ribbon was available in this German shop.
This fantastic fanny pack was sewn by Martina Ludwig. Find her on Instagram @malu27117!
