What are we going to sew?
The Dots On Point quilt pattern has been specially designed for our new Flirtation collection.
It is a vibrant and modern pattern with a unique design, with its cheerful and playfully arranged dots. The original design allows you to sew with all kinds of fabric combinations. Pick your favorite collection or use your scrap box The pattern is perfect for Charm Packs, fabric strips and is also great for using up scraps.
It is ideal for experienced beginners who have already mastered the basics of piecing a quilt and sewing with a 1/4’’ seam.
The dots we're machine appliquéing in the Sew Along can also be hand-sewn, perfect for crafting outdoors or while traveling.
Alternative fabric choices
Our Sew Along is designed to celebrate our new "Flirtation" collection, but we also encourage you to explore alternative fabrics. Using fabrics from our SPOTTED collection can lend a unique touch to your quilt. You might opt for a vibrant, rainbow-like appearance or recreate the sundowner quilt we demonstrated. Alternatively, our LOW VOLUMES BASICS could be the perfect choice for a serene quilt with an accent of color. Warm earth tones or a tone-on-tone color scheme using Bella Solids could be just what you're looking for.
The original pattern size is 64” x 64”, but you can adjust it as needed. You have two options: add more dotted squares for a larger quilt or use fewer for a smaller one. Alternatively, you can resize the squares, including the dots, to maintain the original layout while adjusting the overall quilt size.

In each issue, you'll find your assignments for the Dots On Point QAL weeks and bonus content, like video tutorials. We have a Facebook group where we can chat, post questions, and share our progress. We also support each other on Instagram, using the hashtag #DotsOnPointQAL. So if you ever hit a rough spot, we are right there to help you out and of course, cheer you on!
