Another Zen Chic quilt has been featured
Earlier this year, you could read that one of my quilts, Cross It to be precise, was featured in Simply Moderne, a Quiltmania magazine.
I’m happy to announce that in the next issue of the popular magazine for modern quilts, another one of Zen Chic’s patterns is put in the spotlights.
Quiltmania is always showing the newest, fancy, and modern quilts in this series of the three they publish year-round. They often show a range of artistic, trendy quilts.
The Winter Issue of Simply Moderne
Issue 27 being the Winter issue, has a couple of beautiful Christmas quilts showing. You can find an article about an exhibition, 26th European Patchwork meeting in Alsace, France plus a portrait of Sheila Frampton Cooper, an award-winning fiber artist.
Want to have a sneak peek at what the Winter Issue of Simply Moderne is bringing us? Of course, you do… Here you go!
Zen Chic’s Prism Quilt
As I said earlier, the quilt that is in this issue is the Prism Quilt. It is sewn with the Quotation collection. An easy quilt to make using just 1 Layer Cake and textured background fabrics. And - BTW - the gorgeous quilting on Prism was done by Rachel Hauser of StitchedinColor.
In one of my YouTube tutorial videos, I show you how to make the Prism Quilt.
Who wants to win a copy of Simply Moderne, issue 27?
It happens I have an extra copy of the Winter issue and I like to give it away to one lucky winner. Give me a comment on which quilt is your favorite. Doesn’t have to be one of the quilts I gave you a sneak peek of, you can pick any of the quilts from the magazine. You have until Sunday, December 20, 2021. On Monday, I’ll pick a random commenter and he or she will be the lucky one that gets my extra copy.

Not the lucky winner of that extra copy. Don’t you worry, Quiltmania makes sure you too can get your hands on their magazines. If you like you can order a printed copy or buy the magazine in digital format.
Joining hexagons can be a daunting and time-consuming task. Knowing how to do this properly using your sewing machine is a great skill to have under your belt. Watch the video tutorial by All People Quilt featuring the Day in Paris fabric collection.
