Zen Chic 2022 Bauhaus Quilt Along - week 5
It’s week 5 of the Bauhaus Quilt Along. The special QAL to celebrate the new fabric collection Even More Paper and highlight the Spotted line at the same time.
Up till now…
In the last weeks, we have been busy with the preparations for the Bauhaus quilt. We chose our fabrics, some of you are using the new collection Even More Paper, others are using different fabrics or fabrics from your stash. This Bauhaus pattern has 3 different sizes to choose from, so that was another decision you had to make.
Making our blocks
After we had our fabric, knew what size we wanted to make, and cut the pieces for the blocks, we started sewing. First, we practiced straight seams, then we tackled bias seams, and this week we’re taking on curved seams. Yes, this pattern has it all!
We’re on Instagram and Facebook
But before we take out our sewing machines, let’s take a look at some photos our participants posted on Instagram using the hashtag #bauhausqal
People are also posting their progress in our engaging Facebook group, helping each other out, and cheering one another on. It’s been so much fun and our group has a fantastic atmosphere.
Every week a winner!
All these quilting participants were in the draw for an amazing prize this week. All they had to do was post their photo on IG with that special hashtag or show us their progress in the Facebook group.
You see, every week a great company is giving away a product to one lucky winner in this Quilt Along. Companies like Quiltmania, Fat Quarter Shop, Martingale, and Moda, just to name a few. Wouldn’t you want to win an amazing prize?
This week we had Martingale who gave away a $30 gift certificate. And next week we will draw a winner for a surprise Thread Bundle from Aurifil!
