Next week the party starts, you want to be part of this!
It’s been a couple of weeks since the Moda Blockheads Quilt Along came to an end. In the Facebook group, quilters are posting their finished quilts. Have you seen the different quilts that came from all those free blocks the designers shared? It’s truly a feast for your eyes.
But now what? You need a new project, right? It was so much fun quilting with others. Surely you could find a quilt to make all by yourself. But that’s not half as much fun as sewing with your quilting friends. You could wait for the next Blockheads to start. But when will that be?
What you need is a smaller, light-weighted Quilt Along. You know what? I’ve got the perfect project for you!
Join Zen Chic’s first Quilt Along
Next week Wednesday, we will start the Spring in Paris Quilt Along! It is our very first QAL and we want YOU to join us. It is a perfect replacement for Moda Blockheads.
We are going to celebrate the new collection Dance in Paris with a pattern designed especially for this Quilt Along. It’s the Spring in Paris pattern and we will make a beautiful quilt together over the next 9 weeks using this pattern.
Over the course of those weeks, a special newsletter will go out to all the participants of the Quilt Along. In that newsletter, I’ll share the steps on how to put the quilt together. It will have video tutorials, written explanations, prizes to win for the participants, and a pop-up Facebook group.
You truly don’t want to miss this! If you want to know more about Zen Chic’s first Quilt Along, go to the special Quilt Along page here.
Twisted Geese pattern on sale!
Other than the Spring in Paris pattern, Zen Chic has more than 65 patterns in the shop for you. So I bet there is a pattern for a modern quilt of your choice in there.
Today I wanted to feature one of our favorite patterns, Twisted Geese. Twisted Geese is a fun project to sew. For the yellows, grays, and blacks, I recommend using our fabric collection Quotation. It has a beautiful array of gradients for this pattern.
For this specific quilt, I use the Flying Geese No-Waste-Technique. On my YouTube channel, I show you step by step, how to make Flying Geese units with the super quick four-at-a-time method.
If you would like to try this pattern, you’re in luck! Because today until Sunday, April 25 (12:00 am CET) the Flying Geese pattern is on sale. Yay!!
We’ll take the price down by 20% with the discount code TWISTED.
So now is your chance to grab it.
Happy Quilting, my friends! And I hope to see you soon in our Spring in Paris QAL!
Joining hexagons can be a daunting and time-consuming task. Knowing how to do this properly using your sewing machine is a great skill to have under your belt. Watch the video tutorial by All People Quilt featuring the Day in Paris fabric collection.
